Been busy working on the next project: pitching my first novel to agents. It has been a really eye-opening experience. You find that agents are nicer than they appear on their Websites. Their rejections aren't all form letters. They are honest in what they like and what they don't. Overall, it has been one rejection after another, but I have a feeling that things will change as I keep working on the project, adding and subtracting, proving the dough, so to speak, before I can get it into the oven.
It is during times like these that I remember, for some weird reason or other, the Twilight Zone episode where a sidewalk salesman saves the life of a little girl by giving a "pitch for the angels." Here's hoping I can get death to sink its teeth into my project.
